Jasper County Opioid Settlement Committee’s current priorities and goals:
- Substance treatment for Jasper County residents, including those without insurance or involvement in the justice system.
- Substance prevention programs, including evidence-based programs, should be implemented by working with schools. Target: school-aged children
- Sustainability for treatment programs in Jasper County: Infrastructure and staffing for treatment.

Jasper County aims to eliminate obstacles to assisting individuals needing substance treatment. The Jasper County Opioid Settlement Funds help fund various treatment programs at the organizations listed below. OPIOID SETTLEMENT QUARTERLY REPORT FOR CURRENT AWARDEES
- Opioid Settlement Reporting Form updated 8.1.2024
- Organizations must include an itemized bill each quarter. Please work with your financial contact or accountant.
- Email the report to Auditor Jenna Jennings, Email: jjennings@jaspercounty.iowa.gov
- If awarded funds, the reports are due on or before the following dates:
- July-September, Quarter 1, Due October 15th
- October-December, Quarter 2, Due January 15th

2nd round- FY24 in 2023 | Total $165,000
- Discover Hope 517 Ministry Resource Center in Newton offers daily lunch, Men’s Restoration Center | $60,000- COMPLETE
- Open Arms Foundation | Resources for children removed from their homes. Location established on 1st Avenue. | $25,000- CURRENT
- Clearview Recovery | Women’s treatment- guarantee at least two beds for Jasper County residents. | $80,000- COMPLETE
3rd round- FY25 in 2024 | Total $284,000 (8/6/2024)
- Capstone Behavioral Healthcare for justice-involved substance treatment. Awarded $70,000 CURRENT
- Clearview Recovery, Inc. is for Jasper County residents who have no insurance coverage for substance treatment for women in Prairie City. Awarded $82,000. CURRENT
- Colfax-Mingo CSD for substance prevention program in the school. Awarded: $32,000 CURRENT
- Sheepgate, an Adult and Teen Challenge division of the Midlands plans to expand substance treatment with a new building. Awarded: $100,000. CURRENT
